Pair of table lamps, model no. 9208, 1940s
Brass, brass-plated steel, cane. Manufactured by Taito Oy, Finland.
Light switch impressed with model number and manufacturer's information and underside impressed "TAITO."
Each: 18" H x 10.5" Diameter
These lamps were used at the famous restaurant Town Cellar (Kaupungin Kellari) in Helsinki, Finland in the 1940s. Town Cellar's interior featured several spectacular Tynell light fixtures.
Condition
Beautiful vintage condition. Light patina throughout. Cane appears to have been stabilized at some point. Some paint loss to the interior of the shades. Newer EU wiring and plug with US adapters.
