This collaborative drawing between American artist Keith Haring and French graffiti artist Norton was created in 1987 when Haring was in Paris completing the Necker Children’s Hospital mural, 'Tower.' Haring completed more than 50 public artworks between 1980 and 1989, in dozens of cities worldwide. On his travels, it was not unusual for him to meet up with other artists and perhaps collaborate on an existing artwork in lieu of an autograph.
‘Space Invaders’ features several of Haring’s iconic figures including Corkscrew Man, Dog Head Man, Man with Cross on Chest, UFO Flying Spaceship, and Dancing Figures, executed in felt tip pen and intertwined with Norton’s colorful composition.
